Orion has created a wiki page for the Red5+Terracotta clustering effort. We have made several demos to show the power of Red5 clustering over Terracotta. It's amazing that we can make SharedObject clustered without much refactoring work. I'd like to express my gratitude to the TC team for their great work on this.
Now it seems the time for us to move forward to make an architectural solution.
Per the design doc and our last discussion, we decide to achieve the goal in two steps. The first step is to make a prototype based on my first design. The second step is to find the hot spot, tuning, refactoring and optimizing.
Now that the first Edge/Origin prototype is under way. I plan to get it out in this week.
