Eclipse Summit Europe 2007 is broadcasted live via Red5

It was notified by Joachim on Red5's user list. The Summit is held in
Ludwigsburg, Germany today and yesterday. The service is provided by Spreed and Red5.

The overall presentation quality is good except that the video and audio are jerky (especially video) due to the poor network connection between Germany and China. The AV is streamed by RTMP. I helped Joachim to test the speed with RTMPT and found that it was a little better than RTMP. This has been proved inside China already by Weekee that many routers will favor HTTP against general TCP connection. So I believe it is a good idea to use RTMPT instead of RTMP for internet streaming service or at least to let end users choose what mode they would prefer.

Anyway it is really exciting to see Red5 could provide the streaming service to such a big event and used by so many people over the world.

If you are interested, there is still one day left. You join the conference live at 3pm till 11pm today. Enjoy the conference and enjoy Red5! :-)
